A PRAYER TO END HUNGER
Lord Jesus Christ
You call us to be your disciples;
to follow in your ways.
You tell us that whenever we
meet one who is hungry
and give food
we serve you.
Give us the blessing of Your Holy Spirit
so that we might realize
our solidarity with the billions of people
in our world who go hungry
every day. |
Create in us the generosity to
give from our own needs to the poor
whose brothers and sisters we are.
You who are bread for the world,
provide through the work of our hands
the saving Grace of your love
so that all hunger and poverty may end
and your people may be fed.
We make this prayer with confidence
in Your Holy Name.
