The Men’s Breakfast group met on eight Saturdays in 2002. Average attendance per meeting was about fifteen. While the group is always open to new members, there are currently 33 members listed on the phone list for the group.
The Men’s’ Breakfast group operates on a fairly informal basis providing an opportunity for fellowship for members. At each breakfast one of the members presents a theme which is then open for discussion. Most of the topics include strong spiritual or personal growth elements. Topics are often based on current events of interest to the members. For instance last year included discussions involving the “Kyoto Protocol and Faith” and a presentation on the dispute between Israel and Palestine.
While not operating as a service group per se, the members
of the Men’s Breakfast group continued to provide some service functions
for the Church including assisting with the Fall Supper, helping with maintenance
work at the Church and setting up for functions at the church.
