Almost all respondents (99%) are in favour of permitting non-profit groups to meet in the Squamish United Church facilities for a minimal rental fee.

5c. Opinions about renting newly-built space to community organizations

The majority of respondents (96%) are in favour of renting newly built facilities to community organizations (i.e. Sea-to-Sky Community Services)

Note: Two respondents who were in favour of renting the proposed new facility were concerned that the Board ensure its long-term financial viability and that insurance and maintenance cost be built into any lease.  Two comments were also made about ensuring that the tax exempt status was maintained.
