WORSHIP
COMMITTEE
REPORT
Our numbers are small, but we are mighty! 2007 presented many
challenges which, for the most part, were navigated successfully.
A few changes were made to services in order to include more hymn
requests from the congregation, as well as to ease a few logistical
glitches. At several meetings we had discussions on topics
including:
– What is a Holy space?
– What makes worship meaningful?
– Alternate ways to worship
– How do we capture the interest of young people
(teens through twenties)?
– Why does the community of Squamish think the United
Church is an important presence in the downtown area?
2008 looks to be another interesting year. Please join us.
We welcome fresh perspectives involving all aspects of worship.
