On February 1st over 200 people gathered in the afternoon in a celebration of unity and diversity. Hosted by the Squamish Nation and the Squamish Multifaith the afternoon was filled with love and culture. We held a community fest with food from many traditions. As always the Sikh community filled our bellies with their generous sprits and excellent food. The nation made wonderful bannock and salmon which is always a treat. And the Bahai community provided us with rice and salads.

Entertainment came from an amazing mix of cultures and faiths. From the First Nations welcome, to the Sikh and Filipino dances, right through to the Anglican ukulele  hymn jam we were blessed by culture, tradition and fun. Thank you to all who organized and to the many who joined us for a day of coming together.

Unity and Diversity is a practice of love.
